Pray Without Ceasing

Recently this scripture from Thessalonians 5:17 clicked within my spirit. Often times it is interpreted as a daunting task and unattainable. Well, I don't align with that and I'm going to share with you why that is.
prayer Simplified
Many times I hear people say, "well, what is there to pray for?" If you're truly viewing Yahweh as your Abba, husband, brother, best friend, you shouldn't lack for words. He's not a distant God, He's an intimate Creator. Prayer is direct communication with Yahweh. It's a conversation. You get to freely enter into His throne room of grace (Hebrews 4:16, 10:19-22) whenever and wherever. The veil is torn, you have been granted full access! We are not to be like the pharisees and pray with fancy words in specific places (Matthew 6:5). Come as you are, He already sees you. He just wants to spend time with you, His beloved child.
Think of a child going to their father, there is no telling what the child will say or do! They simply just go, sit in their father's lap, and talk about what they've done, what they want, their dreams...they simply process, nothing is off limits.
Remaining in Prayer
Invite Him in and be interruptible. You don't have to gather your thoughts to talk to Yahweh, instead invite Him into your every thought. If you feel Holy Spirit say to pray or listen, do it without hesitation. Remember, you're in a relationship, not a contract. With this posture, your day will be strung together with holy moments. I enjoy telling Abba about the food I ate, sites I saw, and interactions I had. It has opened a door for me to enter into his courts with thanksgiving (Psalm 100:4) in a way I have never experienced before! By communing with Abba throughout my day, it has removed my need for validation from others because I know that my He is attending to me!
The Fruit
I have witnessed small answered prayers that have proven His faithfulness to hear every work that I utter! Here are 4 recent testimonies from my time in SE Asia!
1) on sabbath my brother, sister, and I were visiting an outlook and it has a huge idol. As we were entering, I asked God for a sign of Him to appear. A few minutes later we saw a rainbow in the sky, reminding us of his everlasting covenant!
2) on our way out of the lookout we saw a huge silk moth! Butterflies/moths are so significant to me and my dear sister I was with. Although I didn't specifically ask for one, Abba knows they always remind me of the new life I have in Yeshua!
3) my sister had prayed for the snow top mountains to fully come out and they did! It was not typical in that season for them to come all the way out. As we were admiring them, clouds started to come but my sister prayed for them to not cover the view and it continued to stay open for a good while longer!
4) my sister and I prayed for God to allow for a specific seasonal fruit to be ripe so that I could try it. It was a bit early in the season for harvest but by the end of the day, we found some and they were delicious!
Be Encouraged
I do not share this to boast but to testify of what we have access to through Yeshua! You won't regret inviting Abba into every moment, in fact, you will experience authentic joy and peace. We were designed for relationship with Yahweh, to walk side by side with Him. You don't have to wait for heaven to have constant communion with Yeshua...what good news! Just go, empty handed and sit at His feet. Allow Him to fill you to overflow with living water.
"Just one thing have I asked of Adonai;
only this will I seek:
to live in the house of Adonai
all the days of my life,
to see the beauty of Adonai
and visit in his temple."
Psalm 27:4 CJB
