BELIEFS

The Gospel of Jesus Christ

We believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ (John 3:15-21).

God sent His one and only son, Jesus Christ, to earth for the salvation of our souls. Jesus was miraculously conceived in the virgin Mary through the Holy Spirit, He lived a perfect life, performed signs and wonders to the places he ministered in, was brutally murdered through crucifixion, resurrected from the dead three days later, and dwells in heaven until the second coming. Through the belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and repentance of sins, we are gifted an eternal inheritance with God in heaven. All of this was done out of the love of God.

The Trinity

We believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are One.

1 John 5:7 NKJV,  “For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.”

The Great Commandment

We believe in the great commandment presented in Matthew 22:37-39 ESV.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

The Great Commission

We believe in the great commission presented in Matthew 28:17-20 ESV,

“And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Spiritual Gifts

We believe in the spiritual gifts presented in Romans, 1 Corinthians, and Ephesians).

Romans 12:3-9 ESV, “For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.”

1 Corinthians 12:4-11 ESV, “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.”

Ephesians 4:7-13 ESV, “But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift. Therefore it says,“When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.”  (In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower regions, the earth? He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,  until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,”
