Harper Foriest
Founder/Director
Hi friends, here’s my story:)
I grew up in Middle Tennessee as the 9th child out of 12. Since the age of 5, I knew God was beckoning my heart to the mission field. I grew up dancing at Fellowship School of Creative Arts, which helped disciple me in how to use the gift of movement as a form of worship. I have also participated in Ballet Magnificat, Arrows International, Zion Dance Project, and Transformation Ballet.
In December of 2020 after raising money to help set a family of slaves free at my home church, God started a fire in my soul that could not be contained. I interned at Conduit church from 2021-2022, helping in women’s and children’s ministry. I traveled to Kenya with Our Next Ministry in the summer of 2022 and had the privilege to dance and pray for the people I encountered. I have helped manage and participated in many dance, art, and ministry events over the years. Since 2022, I knew God was calling me to ministry, specifically worship. In the words of my friend, Jen Duplin, from Elevate Dance Ministry, “worship is the only thing we get to experience on earth and in heaven.”

Starting in the winter of 2018, I started to struggle with my health. Many years down the road I learned I had EDS and POTS, both of these conditions turned my life upside down. Through fall of 2023 to spring of 2024, God forced me to rest. Through this rest, I found that, “his grace is sufficient for me, for his power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). I no longer was working against my body, but partnering with it, it is the temple that God gave me. While I no longer struggle with these conditions, praise God! Through this, the Lord taught me that worship is all about the heart posture, our life can be worship. My outlets are dance and art; if I can’t move out my prayer, I can paint out my prayer. I believe that God created us to create and each time we do, we learn more about Him as THE Creator.
The Lord has called me to partner alongside other cultures to pioneer atmospheres of worship through the outlet of dance. I believe that everyone should have access to free expression. My goal is to focus my eyes on Jesus alone as my Savior and to be an example of a fully-dependent life on the Lord to the students I interact with. I am eager to see how the Lord will work through me to expand his Kingdom and lead his children in worship to him!

“Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t. Worship is ultimate, not missions, because God is ultimate, not man. When this age is over, and the countless millions of the redeemed fall on their faces before the throne of God, missions will be no more. It is a temporary necessity. But worship abides forever.”
